The new instalment of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is likely to be released on May 18, before Eidul Azha. The release of the new instalment will help poor families financially on the occasion of Eid.
According to the details, the new instalment of BISP will be released on May 18, 2026, which will be a major financial help for poor families.
BISP instalment before Eid
The details also confirmed that the financial help will be given to the families and individuals who are already registered and verified through the national socio-economic registry survey.
The authorities also said that the payments will be divided throughout the entire country, adding that the verified and registered families and women will be able to receive payments. The verification and biometrics of individuals are necessary to make the process corruption-free.
Eligibility for BISP
According to the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the families which have a lower score of 32 will be eligible. On the other hand, the household with disabled families will be eligible with a score of 37.
The eligible women will be able to receive payments on their verified National Identity Card (NIC). However, the Special preference will be given to widowed, divorced, and separated women.

Similarly, the federal government is considering the possibility of transferring the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to the provinces.
Founded in 2008, BISP stands as Pakistan’s most extensive social protection program, providing financial assistance to more than 10 million disadvantaged households, with a major emphasis on supporting women.
During a conversation with reporters in Matiari on Friday, Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani clarified that the government is not planning to shut down the BISP.
