Good news has emerged as Shaheen Afridi is ready to take flight again ahead of the home series against Australia.
There is a strong possibility that the pacer will be included in the national squad for home series against Australia as the pacer has successfully passed his fitness test.
As per media reported he underwent through a fitness test two days ago with particular focus on workload management and long-term availability.
After the medical experts and team management carefully reviewing all aspects, now he has been declared fit to resume cricket.
For the national selection the left-arm fast bowler is now available and is expected to be included in the team for the home T20 series against Australia.
Earlier it was reported that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had instructed fast bowler Shaheen Afridi to come back home from the BIG Bash League (BBL) to undergo for his knee treatment.
The decision was taken for long term fitness of the pacer. Shaheen Afridi got injured during Brisbane Heat’s match against Adelaide Strikers when he left the field mid-game after completing just 3 overs for 26 runs.
The decision was taken by PCB to make sure the long-term fitness of the pacer before the Pakistan’s upcoming T20 world cup campaign in February.
Shaheen Afridi who is a leading player of the team for the recent team and the board wants to ensure his fitness for availability to play for his country in the international tournament.
