Google has launched its new variant of smartphone, the Pixel 10a, after weeks of online speculation.
The company, owned by Alphabet Inc., shared details of the device in a blog post. It said the phone uses more recycled materials than any previous A-series Pixel model.
Expected price in Pakistan
The Pixel 10a is expected to be priced at $499, which is about Rs139,595 in Pakistan, based on current exchange rates.
It will be available from March 5, 2026, through Google’s online store and major mobile carriers in selected markets. Official availability in Pakistan has not yet been confirmed.
Focus on recycled materials
Google says the Pixel 10a includes recycled cobalt, copper, gold and tungsten for the first time in the A-series.
The phone has a satin-finish aluminium frame made from 100% recycled material. Its back cover is made from 81% recycled plastic.
Design, display
The Pixel 10a comes with a 6.3-inch Actua display. Google says the screen is designed to remain clear and bright, even in direct sunlight.
The phone has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
It also features upgraded Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for better protection against scratches and drops.
In terms of hardware, the device is largely similar to last year’s Pixel 9a.
Performance, battery
The Pixel 10a runs on Google’s Tensor G4 chip and supports the company’s Gemini AI features.
It includes a 5,100mAh battery. Google says the phone can last more than 30 hours on a single charge, and up to 120 hours when Extreme Battery Saver mode is turned on.
The company has also promised seven years of operating system updates, security updates and regular feature drops.
Satellite SOS has been added to the A-series for the first time, allowing users to contact emergency services without Wi-Fi or mobile signals.
Camera features
The Pixel 10a keeps the same camera hardware as its predecessor. It includes a 48-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
However, some software tools are now available on the A-series for the first time.

Colours available
The Pixel 10a is available in four colours:
- Lavender
- Berry
- Fog
- Obsidian
Matching phone cases are also offered in the same shades.
The new model keeps Google’s focus on mid-range phones. It adds some new features but keeps the design and main specifications mostly the same.
