The government has launched the recovery process for outstanding payments under the fourth phase of the Kissan Card scheme, offering farmers who clear their dues by the deadline a chance to win prizes through a lucky draw.
According to the details, Kissan Card holders will receive payment notifications on October 15 and must deposit their outstanding amounts by October 26 to qualify for the draw.
The Agriculture Department said farmers selected through the draw would receive prizes, including tractors, motorcycles and mobile phones. The initiative aims to encourage the timely repayment of loans issued under the Kisan Card scheme.
Officials said the next interest-free agricultural loan would be credited to eligible farmers’ Kisan Cards within 48 hours of the clearance of outstanding dues, enabling them to access funds for their future agricultural needs. Farmers can repay their outstanding amounts through the Bank of Punjab, interbank transfers or Raast ID.
Kisan Card holders have been advised to clear their dues before the deadline to qualify for the prize draw and avoid delays in receiving their next interest-free agricultural loan.
