The Sindh Education Department has issued revised time table for schools both private and public across the province for the Ramzan 2026.
According to the notification issued from Karachi primary schools operating single shift would be from 8:00am to 12:30pm while double shifts to be 7:30am to 11:30am for the first shift while 11:45am to 2:45pm for the second.
On Friday timings will be reduced slightly 8:00am to 11.30am, single shifts, 7.30am to 10.30am and 11.45am to 1.15pm in double shifts.
For secondary higher secondary and elementary schools the single shift will be from 7:30am – 11:30am and double shift will be from 7:30am – 11:30am and 11:45am – 2:45pm.
Friday timings for these schools will be similar to the reduced schedule within primary schools.
Meanwhile the anticipation is high for the beginning of Ramzan 1447 AH. Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee said he hoped to see the first fast observed simultaneously from all over the country this year.
A spokesperson from SUPARCO also indicated strong possibility of first day of Ramzan will start tomorrow, Thursday depending on reports from moon sighting.

In a separate development business establishment, all over the Punjab to benefit from more flexible working conditions in Ramzan 2026 after the special concessions to keep markets and commercial centres open for extended hours were approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Under the new arrangement shopping malls, retail outlets, supermarkets, chain stores and restaurants will be allowed to keep open after normal business hours during the holy month.
The move is being made to ease out traders as well as consumers because traditionally, commercial activity of any sort picks up during the evenings of Ramzan.
The decision was formally communicated through the notification of the Punjab Labour and the Human Resources Department. Chief Minister’s Advisor, Zeeshan Malik also gave the details of the approval on social media.
According to the notification the relaxation granted under the Punjab Shops and Establishments Ordinance, 1969 for temporary relaxation in business hours during the month of Ramzan with the provisions regarding welfare and safety of workers.
