KARACHI: The Sindh government has introduced a new policy awarding five additional marks to candidates applying for posts from Grade 5 to Grade 15, provided they have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in their academic qualifications.
The decision was formally notified on Thursday by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD).
The notification, signed by Section Officer-V Sanaullah Qazi, makes it mandatory for the Departmental Selection Committees and IBA Sukkur Testing Service which conducts most large-scale recruitment exams in the province to add these five grace marks during the evaluation process.
Candidates holding Intermediate (F.A/F.Sc or equivalent) qualifications will also be eligible for the same five additional marks in the written/tests screening stage.
Officials stated that the policy is aimed at promoting merit-based selection, recognising consistent academic performance, and bringing uniformity to the recruitment process across all provincial departments.
On the other hand, earlier, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) announced multiple job openings.
