The government has introduced a new online system for income and asset declarations of BS-17 and above officers. Under the new system, officers will submit their details through the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) portal. This will replace the old manual process.

What is the last date?

The Sindh Police has also directed its officers to follow the new system. Officers have to submit their declarations for the 2025-26 financial year by October 30, 2026.

What details must officers provide?

Officers will have to give information about their income and assets. This includes bank accounts, properties, investments, vehicles, shares and prize bonds. They must also provide details of valuable assets owned by their spouses.
The declaration will also include information about local and foreign bank accounts. Officers will have to report their sources of income and family income.
Details about their children’s education and education expenses will also be required. Officers will also have to provide information about utility bills, foreign trips, bank loans and other debts.

What else will officers need to declare?

Officers will have to explain any major change in the value of their assets from the previous financial year.
The new system will also ask for details about social media accounts. Information about foreign citizenship and permanent residency will also be included.

How will the information be checked?

The information submitted through the FBR portal will be checked under a risk-based system.
Some non-sensitive information may later be made public on the FBR website, reports say.

What happens if officers give false information?

Officers may face disciplinary action if they provide false information or hide their assets.
Action may also be taken against those who fail to submit their declarations before the deadline.
The Establishment Division issued a memorandum on September 16. It directed the digital submission of asset declarations for BS-17 and above officers.
The new system has been introduced under Section 15-A of the Civil Servants Act, 1973. It also follows the Civil Servants (Conduct) Rules, 2026.
