The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwan has set to train teachers on e-marking in educational boards.
In this regard, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Swat will also design training workshops in different educational boards in the province.
This is meant to equip the marking rubrics that will be used to assess examination papers on e-marking system and improve the professional capacity of teachers.
In this regard, nomination of experienced teachers of respective subjects has been sought in each board by way of a formal letter that has been sent to the Chairman of the Peshawar Board.
To ensure that e-marking is implemented effectively in Physics, Chemistry and English subjects it will be done in phases through workshops.
These workshops will involve lecturers, Senior Subject Teachers, Headmasters, and Assistant Professors in various boards such as Swat, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand and Bannu among others.
Out of the Swat Board, 15 teachers have been proposed on Physics, Chemistry, and English.
On the same note, 15 teachers have been nominated by Abbottabad Board and 15 teachers have been nominated by Peshawar Board to the three subjects.
Some of the teachers in Mardan and Malakand Boards have also been incorporated in the training process.
Govt launches digital system to monitor teachers’ performance
Previously, The School Education Department taken a major step to effectively monitor teachers’ academic performance by launching and activating the “Teaching Practice Analysis Form” on the HRMS portal.
Under the new system, all teachers will be required to upload daily records of their teaching activities on the portal.
Teachers will also have to submit a short video of their classroom teaching, with a maximum file size limit of 5 MB.
According to the department, the initiative aims to digitally document teachers’ professional skills and improve the overall quality of education.
The move is expected to ensure transparent and effective evaluation of teaching performance across schools.
