The stage is officially set for Music’s Biggest Night as the Recording Academy has unveiled the complete list of nominees for the 2026 GRAMMY Awards.
The star-studded event will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcasting live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
The much anticipated GRAMMY nominations were revealed during a global livestream which includes stars like Chappell Roan, Doechii, KAROL G, Mumford & Sons, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, and more presenting old plus new 95 GRAMMY categories.
The nominations acknowledge diverse range of music categories popular among Gen Z, Gen Alpha and millennials including pop, rap, country, R&B, Latin, jazz, global music, and beyond.
As per 68 years old tradition of academy awards now a group of artists, producers, songwriters, and engineers will determine the winners of 2026 GRAMMY winners. The consultation process is rigorous and maintain high level of professionalism ensuring every entry get equitable chance of being selected at top level.
In a major update this year, the 2026 GRAMMYs introduce two new categories. One is Best Traditional Country Album and other is Best Album Cover.
These additions reflect the Academy’s effort to expand recognition to more genres and creative roles evolving with the high influx of social media influence across the global.
Previously, Harvey Mason Jr, the CEO of the Recording Academy explained “Each year during our Awards & Nominations review, our focus is on refining our rules, uncovering anything that is no longer working, and ensuring we are celebrating our creative community in the most meaningful way.”
He continued that, “I’m thrilled that many of this year’s changes including new Category additions and expanded recognition of more crafts in the Classical categories, allow us to honor even more creator.”
