After the release of the GTA’s second trailer, everyone is looking forward to more content of Grand Theft Auto VI, but Rockstar Games has been silent ever since.
But with no official news to date, new rumours are emerging that a third trailer will be in the released before the official game release.
Insider Gaming journalist Tom Henderson recently disclosed on a podcast that he believes the third GTA 6 trailer will arrive around 6 August.
Henderson said that he doesn’t have any definitive proof for the date, but that Rockstar’s timing of big announcements around investor events makes the guesswork seem plausible.
The first trailer for GTA 6 garnered over 93 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours, marking the highest number of views within that timeframe for a non-music video at the time.
The second trailer was released in May 2025 and had an even greater response, with it reaching some 475 million views on all platforms on its first day.
The fans are now expecting the next trailer to show a much greater amount of gameplay footage as opposed to mostly cinematic scenes.
Rockstar has previously said that the footage in the first trailer didn’t actually have to be pre-rendered, but a previous Rockstar employee has warned that trailer images can sometimes be more polished than the final product.
After two postponements due to the original release date of 2025, GTA 6 is set to be released on November 19.
Many are now saying that Rockstar’s full marketing campaign is about to start as there are just a few months left until release.
Pre-orders are already open, and it is reported that PlayStation 5 sales are faring better than Xbox.
It’s set to be one of the biggest game launches, given that both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 have reached around 230 million and 85 million copies sold respectively.
