The district administration announced the conclusion of search and rescue operations for victims of the Gul Plaza inferno, nine days after the tragedy that claimed 73 lives.
Officials said rescue teams recovered two more bodies from the debris on the ninth day, raising the death toll to 73.
Authorities also identified another body through DNA testing, taking the total number of identified bodies to 23. Officials said six people remain missing out of 79 reported victims.
South District Deputy Commissioner Javed Nabi Khoso said authorities will seal the building on Monday. He added that relatives of 13 missing persons have yet to contact the administration or submit DNA samples, while families of 55 victims have already provided samples.

According to sources, the inquiry committee completed the first phase of its investigation and identified several preliminary causes behind the fire incident at Gul Plaza.
The report confirmed that the fire erupted due to the use of a lighter, while investigators continue to collect further details related to Gul Plaza.
Sources said the blaze started inside a flower shop after a lighter was used, adding that authorities have also obtained CCTV footage linked to the Gul Plaza incident.
