Karachi: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman strongly criticises the privatisation decision of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) by the Government.
He demanded that the decision of privatisation must be withdrawn until the real culprits who destroyed PIA are found.
By adding, Naeem said that the current administration earned a profit of Rs 10 billion in the last six months, yet selling PIA for Rs 135 billion is difficult to understand.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said that selling national institutions on the basis of incompetence is proof of the failure of the rulers. He said that this should not happen at any cost.
He said that PIA was one of the airlines providing training to the world’s major airlines in history. But as we recall, the Government era of the Muslim League (N), the Peoples Party, and the PTI has put the institution at a loss due to corruption, fake recruitments, and wrong decisions.
Hafiz Naeem condemned the Government’s decision by raising the question that if the government cannot run PIA, railways and steel mills, then what is the justification for sitting in the government.
Moreover, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem said Why don’t we also privatise the incompetent and incapable ruling class. He added that Pakistan can only grow if it gets rid of the unskilled and useless rulers who came into power through Form 47.
By emphasising the loss of national institutions, Hafiz Naeem said that the public is fed up with the Government’s decisions and Jamaat-e-Islami will strongly resist this decision.
