Hajj 2027 registration schedule announced: Online applications open June 22

Ministry unveils Hajj 2027 registration process for pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has unveiled the registration schedule for Hajj 2027, introducing a streamlined and transparent process for prospective pilgrims.

The new registration system has been designed in accordance with the latest guidelines and regulations issued by the Saudi authorities. According to media reports, online registration will open on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Prospective pilgrims will be required to create a user account on the Ministry’s official Hajj portal at www.hajj.mora.gov.pk. After creating an account, applicants must complete the registration process by providing their personal information as well as the details of their family group.

The Ministry has specified that registration will only be accepted as family groups. At this initial stage, possessing a passport is not mandatory, and applicants may register even if they do not yet have one. However, a valid passport will be compulsory during the next phase of Hajj billing, and applications without a passport will not be processed at that stage.

Authorities have further clarified that pilgrims’ passports must remain valid until at least November 16, 2027. Passports with a shorter validity period will not be accepted.

The Ministry stated that the Hajj quota allocation system for 2027 will differ from previous years. Only individuals who complete registration during this phase will be eligible to participate in the Hajj 2027 quota allocation process. Registered pilgrims will later be given the option to choose between the Government Hajj Scheme and the Private Hajj Scheme.

The same registration procedure will also apply to Pakistani citizens residing abroad. Furthermore, the billing process under the Hajj Policy 2027 will operate on a “first come, first served” basis. Once the allocated number of pilgrims has been reached, the process will be closed.

The Ministry emphasised that the initial registration for Hajj 2027 is completely free of charge. Details regarding Hajj expenses, package options, and other terms and conditions under the Hajj Policy 2027 will be announced separately at a later date.
