Hajj training camps to start in Punjab

The Directorate of Hajj has issued instructions to prepare for Hajj training camps. The aim is to make sure pilgrims are fully ready for the journey.

Officials said several departments, including the Punjab Food Authority, have been asked to take part in the camps.

Pilgrims will be briefed on food hygiene and safety, which is important for staying healthy during Hajj.

In Faisalabad, the main training sessions will take place on February 13 and 14 at the Iqbal Auditorium, University of Agriculture.

Hajj training camps

The overall Hajj training programme will run from January 28 to February 14, 2026.

Pilgrims will receive detailed guidance on Hajj rituals. Experts from Rescue 1122 will provide training in emergency medical care and first aid.

To address women-specific concerns, lady doctors will be present to answer questions about health and safety.

Pilgrims will also be trained to use modern mobile applications.

These apps will help them access essential services, navigation support, and official information while in Saudi Arabia.

Packages for Hajj 2026

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has made the package preference phase for the 1447 AH – 2026 Hajj season available on its official Nusuk Hajj platform, to allow pilgrims from countries covered by the Direct Hajj Program to browse, compare, and shortlist the service packages to be shortlisted for before the official booking period, Al Arabiya reported.

The initiative allows the choice of up to five favourite options among prospective pilgrims who have the opportunity to learn more about the packages that will be offered in terms of service level, content and price.

Digital tools on the platform provide comparisons, show the trends of popularity, instalment-based deposits with the use of a digital wallet, and a list of officially approved service providers.

The ministry stressed that Nusuk Hajj is the only authorised platform for Hajj arrangements for Direct Hajj Program countries, and warned not to deal with unlicensed providers.

All bookings and payments must be made solely on the platform to ensure the protection of the rights of pilgrims and follow due process in a structured way.
