‘Afghan Taliban hiding TTP chief in Kabul diplomatic enclave’, claims Hamid Mir

TTP chief in Kabul

Senior Journalist Hamid Mir, citing diplomatic sources, claimed that the Afghan Taliban are shielding Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) Chief in Kabul.

According to him, TTP Chief Noor Wali, Gul Bahadur, Bashir Zeb, and other wanted militants are hiding from Central Asian states inside the Green Zone of Afghanistan’s capital.

In a post on X, he said, “These sources claimed that the presence of these wanted people near the residence of diplomats may invite deep trouble and that’s why many foreign diplomats may leave Kabul soon.”

“Presence of internationally declared terrorists is unacceptable even for the UN staff and some NGOs in Kabul. They registered their concerns with the Taliban regime”, he added.

In another development, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Afghans are not trustworthy and emphasised that Operation Ghazb lil Haq should continue until the threat is eliminated.

In an interview, the minister said that attacks are being carried out from Afghanistan into Pakistan and added Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan will not be spared.

According to him, the current behaviour of the Afghan government and people has never been acceptable, neither in the past, nor today, nor will it be in the future. Pakistan has made numerous attempts to resolve these issues through dialogue, he added.
