How much does Hania Amir charge for a podcast?

Pakistan’s well known actress Hania Aamir has sparked debate on social media and within showbiz circles after reports emerged that she demanded Rs2 million for appearing in a podcast interview.

Podcast host Adnan Faisal revealed during a television program that Hania Aamir had set a fee of Rs2 million as a condition for appearing on his podcast.

According to Faisal, his podcast has featured around 700 interviews so far. But no guest had previously asked for such a large amount to be in it.

During the discussion, popular content creator Meiraj Haq also shared his perspective.

He said that he had been invited to appear on the same podcast by Adnan Faisal’s team, and was asked to pay a fee of Rs285,000.

In a video shared on the social media platform Instagram, Meiraj Haq questioned the criticism directed at the actress.

He asked that if Hania Aamir is being criticised for demanding a fee, then what should be said about asking guests to pay a significant amount to appear on a podcast.

The issue has once again triggered discussion in Pakistan’s entertainment industry about podcast fees, actors’ compensation, and payment practices.

Hania Aamir speaks out

Hania Amir distanced herself from the famous director of Hum TV, Umer Mukhtar, after he was accused of exploiting underage girls and sending inappropriate messages to women.

Social media influencer and model Mahnoor Rahim accused Umer Mukhtar of sending inappropriate messages on Instagram at weird times.

Mahnoor confirmed that Mukhtar told her that he is a good friend of Hania Amir.

Hania Amir also wrote in her Instagram story in support of social media content creator Mahnoor Rahim.

She wrote in a post on Instagram, “My name has recently been mentioned in online conversations regarding a situation I had no knowledge of or involvement in… I want to address this clearly, she has a zero-tolerance stance towards harassment, exploitation and any conduct that compromises the safety and dignity of women and girls”.

“These are serious realities that must always be treated with gravity and respect. I support the courage it takes to come forward and stand firmly for an environment where every woman and girl feels safe, heard and protected.”
