It is expected that a severe heatwave will be coming in various areas of Sindh from April 11. An alert has been issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
In Sindh, according to the NDMA, a gradual increase in temperature is expected after April 11.
Due to this gradual increase, the nighttime temperatures will remain 3 to 5 degrees above normal. The daytime temperatures will also be higher by 5 to 7 degrees higher than usual.
The various areas of Sindh include Jacoabad, Dadu, Larkana and surrounding areas. These areas will remain under the influence of intense heat. There is also a risk of heat wave in these areas and also in Qambar, Jamshoro and Ghotki.
The PMD has predicted that summer this year might be warmer than usual. They have also warned that the conditions of heatwave may also start building in the next few weeks.
Especially the southern part of plain area of Punjab and Sindh province.
According to April, May seasonal outlook released by the department, it is likely that the temperatures will be above than the average temperatures across Pakistan.
The only places where decreases in temperature might be observed are Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The rainfall in this time period across Pakistan will be normal. However, a few areas might potentially get higher than average rainfalls.
Some parts of Central Punjab, North Balochistan and Souther Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to receive and experience reasonably strong spring rainfall activity.
However, Central and Southern Balochistan. Sindh, northern KP, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir are expected to get their usual rainfall.
