In which countries will the total solar eclipse occur?
The total solar eclipse will start in the Atlantic Ocean, then pass over parts of Spain, northern Morocco, northern Algeria, northern Tunisia, northeastern Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia, and finally over the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean.
One of the prime viewing areas for the eclipse is expected to be Egypt with totality lasting up to approximately 6 minutes and 19 seconds in some places.
Totality will also be seen in several cities and locations in Spain, such as Malaga and Cadiz, and Tarifa, as well as in Tangier in Morocco, Oran in Algeria, Sfax in Tunisia, Benghazi in Libya and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
The totality in Makkah will be approximately 5 minutes and 10 seconds.

About 2:43 pm on August 2, 2027, the eclipse will begin in Pakistan and will last until around 4:51 pm.
The time of the eclipse in Islamabad is 3:14 pm; it will be at its peak at 3:47 pm, and at 4:19 pm it ends. The eclipse is supposed to come to Karachi at around 3pm, and will last till 4:48pm.
