Web desk: A public holiday has been declared for Saturday, November 8, in Muzaffargarh district, Punjab, on the occasion of the 10th Jeep Rally and local fair celebrations.

A Public holiday has been declared on November 8, 2025.

According to media reports, the four-day rally began on Thursday in collaboration with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) and the district administration.

The series of thrilling competitions covers the desert routes of Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, and Layyah, with drivers from across Pakistan and abroad taking part.

As per the official schedule, registration and technical and medical inspections were held from 9 AM to 3 PM.

The qualifying round will take place on November 7 at Head Muhammad Wala Chaga Manga.

The stock category race is scheduled for November 8, followed by the modified and women’s category competitions on Sunday, November 9.

The event will conclude with a closing ceremony at Faisal Stadium.

District Police Officer (DPO) Ghazanfar Ali Shah said that more than 400 personnel, including three DSPs and 11 inspectors, will be deployed for security during the event.

A search operation has already been completed along the rally route. The DPO added that strict security measures have been put in place to maintain law and order.

And to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. So that the public can enjoy the event in a peaceful and secure environment.

10th Thal Jeep Rally: Qualifying Round

In the Prepared Category, Faisal Shadi Khel took the lead with the fastest time of one minute and 30 seconds.

Muhammad Raza Saeed came in second with one minute and 32 seconds. Veteran racer Sahibzada Sultan finished third in one minute and 33 seconds.

Nadir Magsi followed closely at one minute and 34 seconds. Making it one of the closest contests in recent rally history.

In the Women’s Prepared Category, Salma Khan secured first place with a time of one minute and 57 seconds. Just ahead of Dina Patel, who completed the track in one minute and 58 seconds.

In the Stock Category, young racer Hassan Ali Magsi led the group with one minute and 43 seconds.

Syed Asif Imam came second at one minute and 44 seconds, and Muhammad Rayan Khan finished third in one minute and 45 seconds.
