Pakistanis can now apply to win $50,000 by jailbreaking ChatGPT.
OpenAI has turned its GPT-5.5 Bio Bug Bounty into a permanent private program called the OpenAI Bio Bounty Program.
Researchers from around the world, including Pakistan, can now apply to participate. However, the program is highly competitive, and only selected applicants will be invited to take part.
The goal is to test the safety of OpenAI’s most advanced AI models by finding a universal jailbreak that can bypass their biological safety protections, starting with GPT-5.6 and future frontier models.
Participants who successfully discover a universal jailbreak affecting GPT-5.5 or GPT-5.6 can earn up to $50,000.
OpenAI may also offer smaller rewards for partial findings.

In another development, Apple has sued OpenAI and two former employees, alleging misappropriation of its trade secrets to benefit the ChatGPT-owner’s foray into consumer hardware.
It is pertinent to mention that tensions between the two tech companies have strained their relationship, as the race to develop AI products has intensified competition for talent and proprietary technology.
OpenAI is valued at approximately $852 billion. OpenAI is preparing for an initial public offering by the end of 2026.
