LAHORE: If you think you received a wrong e-challan, you can get it cancelled from home with simple and easy steps.
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has introduced an online review system for people who receive incorrect challans, making the process simple and easy.
The authority said in its statement that if someone receives a wrong e-challan, there is no need to worry. Just visit their website (https://psca.gop.pk) and enter your vehicle number. You will see all the details of the fines issued.
The statement added that if a person believes the challan is not theirs, or it was mistakenly issued to them, or they violated a traffic signal due to an emergency like giving way to an ambulance they can file an appeal.
The authority will review the appeal and if they find it genuine the challan can be cancelled.
The system uses AI to catch the traffic violators who make signal violations, lane cutting, speeding, failure to wear helmets, and not fastening seat belts.
