Hyundai is preparing to launch its new model in Pakistan. The company’s three-row flagship SUV, the Palisade, is expected to begin customer deliveries in August.
The bookings of the new variant are likely to open in March, and test units will arrive at the dealerships by June, according to industry sources.
The development comes a week after Hyundai Nishat Motors confirmed plans to introduce the model locally.
Photos circulating on social media appear to show the SUV undergoing road testing in Pakistan.

Pakistan will be the first country outside South Korea to assemble the current second-generation Palisade locally.
A large family SUV
The Palisade sits in the mid-size SUV category and is built on a unibody platform. It offers three rows of seating and can be configured as:
- 8 seats with a standard second-row bench
- 7 seats with two captain’s chairs in the middle row
The vehicle is positioned as a family-oriented SUV with a focus on space, comfort and advanced safety features.
Internationally, the Palisade is sold in markets including the United States and Canada, several Southeast Asian countries, parts of the Middle East, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
In most regions, it is offered as a fully imported unit. Only Indonesia and Vietnam assemble an older generation locally.
Local assembly, market positioning
Industry analysts say local assembly could allow Hyundai to price the Palisade more competitively than fully imported rivals in Pakistan’s large SUV segment.
Although official pricing has not been announced, assembling the vehicle domestically may help reduce import-related costs and broaden its appeal to buyers looking for a spacious, high-specification family vehicle.
Expected models to launch in Pakistan
Globally, the current-generation Palisade is offered with two powertrains: a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.5-litre turbo hybrid.
While Hyundai Nishat Motors has not confirmed local specifications, industry estimates suggest Pakistan could receive:
- A 2.5-litre Turbo in the lower trim
- A 2.5-litre Turbo Hybrid in the higher trim
Below are the expected specifications for the top hybrid variant, based on international models. The locally assembled version may differ.
