Hyundai Pakistan is set to announce the launch date, official price and booking details of its flagship luxury SUV, the Palisade, today, on February 23, 2026.

The development follows recent reports that the company was preparing to introduce the model in the local market.

The Palisade will become Hyundai’s most expensive offering in Pakistan once launched.

First locally assembled Palisade outside South Korea

A key aspect of the launch is that the Palisade will be assembled locally. Pakistan will become the first country outside South Korea, Hyundai’s home market, to assemble the SUV.

In other international markets where the Palisade is available, it is sold as a completely built imported unit.

Local assembly could help the company manage costs and position the vehicle more competitively within Pakistan’s premium SUV segment.

Engine and features

Globally recognised as Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the Palisade will maintain that position in Pakistan.

The vehicle will be powered by a 2.5-litre turbo hybrid engine producing 329 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque.

Hyundai says the SUV will come equipped with a wide range of features, including:

  • Nappa leather upholstery
  • A 14-speaker Bose sound system
  • Power-adjustable seats in all three rows
  • Tri-zone climate control
  • Soundproof glass
  • 21-inch alloy wheels are offered as standard in the local version
  • A dual panoramic sunroof extending from the first to the third row
  • Self-damping suspension that adjusts according to vehicle load

Size and seating

The Palisade is expected to be the largest SUV currently available in the local market.

Its wheelbase is longer than that of the Toyota Fortuner and also exceeds that of its close competitor, the GWM Tank 500 HEV.

The SUV offers a three-row, seven-seat layout.

The second row features individual captain’s seats, a configuration more commonly seen in multi-purpose vehicles.

Hyundai says the third row is designed to comfortably accommodate adults.

Pricing expectations

As a flagship model, the Palisade is expected to sit at the higher end of the market.

However, industry observers suggest that local assembly may allow Hyundai to price the vehicle competitively against rivals such as the Tank 500 HEV, which has an ex-factory price of Rs2.05 crore.

The company is expected to confirm the ex-factory price and booking procedure later today.
