The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its nominees for the Player of the Month award for March, recognising standout performances on the international stage.
India’s Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah have both earned nominations following impressive displays during the month. They are joined by South Africa’s Connor Esterhosein, who has also been shortlisted for the prestigious honour.
The nominations were determined based on players’ performances across formats in March, highlighting those who made significant contributions for their respective teams.
The ICC Player of the Month award celebrates exceptional individual achievements and consistent excellence, with the winner set to be decided through a combination of fan votes and an expert panel.
It is worth mentioning here that in the past month of February International Cricket Council (ICC) had also announced the nominees for the Player of the Month award, with Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan among those shortlisted.
Farhan was the leading run-scorer in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, amassing 383 runs at an impressive strike rate of 160.25. He also achieved a unique milestone by scoring two centuries during the tournament.
England’s Will Jacks and the United States’ Shadley van Schalkwyk have also been nominated for the men’s award. The American fast bowler delivered a standout performance in the T20 World Cup, taking 13 wickets.
In the women’s category, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana has been nominated following an all-round performance against South Africa, where she scored 146 runs and claimed six wickets.
Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama and India’s Arundhati Reddy are also among the nominees for the Women’s Player of the Month award.
