It is saddening to note that another terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa occurred while the Chief Minister of KP is on a visit to Sindh.

KP is burning, but the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has prioritised political point scoring in Sindh.

After the incident some allegations have been made from some quarters that terrorists are targeting religious people and respected individuals one by one under an organized plan. According to the police, initial investigations are ongoing and the matter is being studied from different angles. Police officials have also expressed that the possible involvement of some political elements, especially some of the leaders of PTI, is being suspected; however, the final opinion will be offered after all the investigations have been complete.

Following the blast, security agencies have further stepped up security measures in the area, while evidence is being gathered to ascertain the nature of the explosion and identify persons responsible for it. Public and religious circles have demanded the arrest of the elements who were involved in the martyrdom of Maulana Sultan at the earliest and giving them exemplary punishment and ensuring the safety of religious leaders.
