Over 2500 persons want to donate eye to Imran Khan

In Peshawar and across the province hundreds of young people have come forward claiming to have registered to donate their eyes for Imran Khan founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). According to reports more than 2,500 individuals have registered so far.

Party workers have not only registered to donate their eyes but have also volunteered to donate other body organs.

PTI’s Chief Coordinator Zubair Ahmed Qureshi stated that over 2,500 youths from the province have submitted their names for eye donation while women have also expressed readiness to participate in the campaign.

In this regard youths from Islamabad will visit Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital.

Sources say that both young people and women have clearly stated that they are taking this step out of a sense of complete loyalty and devotion to their beloved leader.

It is pertinent to mention that the federal government has decided to transfer Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, to a hospital.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the government has taken this decision in view of Imran Khan’s health.

In a tweet, he said, “The government prioritises humanitarian compassion and legal requirements. Providing facilities to every prisoner in accordance with the law is the government’s responsibility.”

“Politics should not be done on sensitive matters like health. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf should refrain from baseless propaganda or political point-scoring”, he added.

Imran Khan was diagnosed with a serious eye condition known as Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), a disorder that commonly affects older adults and is linked to underlying cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease.

Earlier, Khan had been allowed a phone call with his sons, Kasim Khan and Suleiman Isa Khan.

The Supreme Court (SC) ordered that Imran be allowed to speak to his children.
