The sons of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, Qasim Khan and Sulaiman Khan, were unable to obtain Pakistani visas from the Pakistan High Commission in London due to what officials described as “technical deficiencies” in their applications.

According to reports, the visa applications were not approved after applicants failed to address certain procedural shortcomings. The two had submitted their visa requests last month.

Diplomatic sources in London told The News that the applications remain pending with the relevant section of the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad.

The delay, sources said, was caused by the applicants’ failure to provide the required information, despite being formally asked to rectify deficiencies in their submissions.

Sources further disclosed that both Qasim Khan and Sulaiman Khan, who are British passport holders, listed London as their place of birth and did not indicate any formal link or affiliation with Pakistan in their visa applications.

Additionally, the applicants reportedly failed to accurately provide their travel history in the prescribed visa forms.

Officials said that until the missing information and inaccuracies are corrected, the visa applications cannot be processed further.

Earlier on the social networking site X, in a statement, Qasim Khan said that he and his brother want to go to Pakistan to meet their father. He further added that Imran Khan has been in solitary confinement for 914 days and his health is deteriorating.

According to Qasim Khan, Imran Khan is not being given access to independent medical facilities, the government is deliberately not processing their visa applications and international human rights organisations and governments should raise their voice on this matter.
