India cruised to a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the ninth match of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Brilliant bowling performances from Prema Rawat and Shree Charani, who claimed three wickets apiece, restricted Pakistan to a modest total of 55. India then completed the 56-run chase in just 8.4 overs, with Deepti Sharma and captain Harmanpreet Kaur guiding the team home in an unbeaten partnership.
For India, Prema Rawat and Shree Charani claimed three wickets each, while Pakistan captain Fatima Sana also took three wickets. Chasing a target of 56 runs, the Indian women’s team reached 56 for the loss of three wickets in 8.4 overs. Shafali Verma was dismissed for 12, Smriti Mandhana scored nine, and Pratika Rawal made four. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 12, while Deepti Sharma was also not out on 12.
Pakistan had started their Asia Cup campaign with a victory over Thailand in the opening match. However, their second match marked Pakistan’s 200th T20 International, and the milestone ended in disappointment as they suffered a heavy seven-wicket defeat to India following a poor batting performance.

Pakistan struggled from the outset and lost wickets at regular intervals before being dismissed for just 55, leaving India with a modest target to chase.

Thailand sit third with two points from three matches, while Hong Kong Women remain at the bottom of the table without a point after suffering defeats in both of their matches.
