India is attempting to divert attention from its domestic challenges by creating instability across the region, particularly in Pakistan.
A senior security official held an important briefing with media influencers, focusing on India’s regional policies and security situation.
According to security sources, the Indian leadership continues to ignore the “ground realities” and is pursuing policies that have increased instability in the region. They said that India is facing deep internal divisions driven by rising intolerance and religious extremism.
The sources stated that the ideology of Hindutva has distorted India’s secular identity and that the country’s expansionist ambitions are reflected in the concept of “Akhand Bharat.” They further said that India’s military has become a victim of the BJP’s violent and religious politics.
Security sources also stated that the slogan of a “Shining India” is misleading in the face of growing social divisions. They said that freedom of expression and press freedom in India remain under state control, describing the country as functioning like a police state.
The sources warned that India could face large-scale violence if the situation continues to deteriorate. They said that discrimination and the treatment of religious minorities could further deepen internal divisions, adding that followers of Hindutva fail to recognise the equal rights of Muslims and other minority communities. According to the sources, Muslims in India are increasingly compelled to demonstrate loyalty to Hindutva ideology to secure their place in society.
Referring to Indian-administered Kashmir, the security sources revealed that the territory has become one of the world’s most heavily militarised regions, saying that there is one security personnel for every seven to eight residents.
The sources further stated that India uses Pakistan as a pretext to stage false flag operations in an attempt to suppress indigenous freedom movements and divert international attention from domestic issues.
According to the security sources, India’s leadership views a strong, prosperous and moderate Pakistan as a strategic challenge. They said that supporters of Hindutva perceive Pakistan’s stability and development as a threat, which is why Indian media and political circles continue to focus on narratives targeting Pakistan and its armed forces.
The briefing also revealed that the banned Joint Awami Action Committee’s senior leadership is acting in line with an Indian agenda.
The security sources stated that the state and people of Pakistan have never been intimidated by India and will not be in the future. They added that Pakistan will increasingly shift its focus towards strengthening domestic stability, national development and internal priorities while remaining vigilant against external threats.
