SYDNEY: The passports of Indian-origin terrorist Sajid Akram and his son, involved in the Bondi Beach attack, have come to light.
According to documents, the Indian embassy issued Sajid Akram a passport for ten years on February 24, 2022.
Sources say the Indian embassy was aware of the attacker’s Indian citizenship from the beginning. However, Indian authorities allegedly deliberately concealed this fact.
During this delay, Indian media was given time to blame Pakistan.
Immediately after the attack, Indian media started misleading propaganda. Reports attempted to portray the attacker as Pakistani.
Experts say this effort was aimed at defaming Pakistan internationally.
The British newspaper The Guardian ha reported that Australia expelled two officials of India’s intelligence agency RAW in 2020.
Australian intelligence described this network as a “spy cartel.”
The report also states that the expelled Indian agents were involved in profiling Indian residents in Australia. Experts say both terrorists involved in the Sydney attack may have links to RAW.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago, Sajid Akram travelled to the Philippines using his Indian passport.
Officials say further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
