Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said India through its proxies has launched a wave of terrorism in Balochistan adding that they will meet the same fate as the downed Indian jets in Marka-e-Haq.
Addressing a special Kashmir Solidarity Day session at the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad on Thursday, PM said India suffered a humiliating defeat in Marka-e-Haq by the Pakistani forces under the leadership of Field Marshall Asim Munir and Kashmir cause has once again emerged on the global stage with renewed strength.
He said that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible unless India abandons what he described as its aggressive, expansionist ambitions and covert conspiracies.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir freedom movement and assured that the sacrifices of Kashmiris will not go to waste adding that Pakistan remains steadfast on its principle stance on Kashmir and Palestine.
He said history bears witness to the fact that Kashmiris are willing to sacrifice their children, but they would never compromise on their freedom.
Recalling Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s description of Kashmir as Pakistan’s “jugular vein”, the prime minister asserted that Kashmir has never been, and will never be, a part of India.
While reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, PM Shehbaz stressed that peace must rest on justice and equality, warning that Pakistan would deliver a decisive response on any front opened against it. He added that Pakistan would continue to play a constructive role in resolving regional conflicts.
The prime minister also announced plans to establish new educational institutions in AJK, including Danish School campuses and a university in Muzaffarabad, to strengthen education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He pledged full cooperation with the AJK government regardless of its political composition.
On this occasion Prime Minister announced the raising of the monthly stipend of the 1989 Jammu and Kashmir refugees from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000.
