PTA Warns of Fake Job Offers Tied to Indian Intelligence Network

Indian Fake Job Offers

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has launched a nationwide awareness drive after identifying and blocking several fake job sites that officials say are linked to Indian intelligence operations.

Scammers pose as employers to collect sensitive data

PTA sources say operatives are contacting Pakistanis on LinkedIn and on job portals such as Job Gulf and similar sites.

They offer high salaries and quick hiring.

Then they ask applicants for photos, maps and exact locations of national projects.

They also send forms disguised as surveys and research. In simple terms, the aim is to trick people into sharing information about critical installations.

Because the messages look professional, many users do not see the danger until they have already shared data.

PTA says Indian intelligence fronts run fake portals

Officials state that a number of these websites and profiles are being operated from India as fronts for intelligence gathering.

PTA has already blocked several domains and accounts.

The campaign explains common tricks, including copycat company names, email addresses that do not match real websites, and files that install malware.

It also advises applicants to avoid sending any image or coordinate of restricted areas.

In addition, users should never upload personal documents through unsecured links. If an offer sounds unreal, people should stop, verify and report.

Report suspicious offers and verify every employer

PTA urges citizens to report fake profiles, job emails and websites through official reporting channels.

The authority says public awareness is the first line of defence against foreign cyber infiltration.

Therefore, job seekers should check employers through verified websites, chamber listings and government registries.

They should call the company on a published number before sharing any information.

By staying alert and reporting quickly, users help protect themselves and help the state shut down networks that target Pakistan’s security and its people.
