A horrific incident occurred near the Pakistan–India border in Sindh’s Tharparkar district, where Indian forces opened fire on a herd of goats that had crossed the restricted area.
According to eyewitnesses, the Indian forces not only shot at the animals but also attacked them with iron rods, leaving several goats with broken legs and spinal injuries.
The attack sparked outrage among villagers, who described the incident as “cruel and unprovoked.”

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned the incident in the strongest terms, calling it a “heinous act of barbarity” and “an affront to humanity.”
After the Chief Minister’s directives, a Livestock Department team was sent to the village, where veterinarians treated the injured animals.
According to the CM’s spokesperson, the team remains on-site to provide ongoing care and assistance.
Murad Ali Shah further directed authorities to ensure full support for the affected livestock owners and continuous monitoring of the situation.
He added that the Sindh government stands firmly with the victims and will take all necessary steps for the protection and welfare of animals.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also stated that the Sindh government would recommend the federal government raise the issue at the diplomatic level to prevent such incidents in the future.
