India has blocked Pakistan’s largest digital media outlet, Pakistan Connect’s X account, under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Pakistan Connect received an email from X, explaining that the platform received a blocking order from India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the account.
According to the notification, X stated that Indian law requires the platform to withhold access to the account in India. However, the account and its content will remain accessible outside the country.
The email further stated that due to legal restrictions, X can not provide additional details. According to the email, Pakistan Connect has the right to contest this blocking order from the Indian government.
X further said that the platform informs users if it receives any legal blocking order from official authorities or the government to keep the process transparent.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan Connect is a credible digital media outlet in Pakistan. Modi government in India is not happy with the content of Pakistan Connect as the platform continuously exposes the Indian government for not doing anything for the people of India.
Modi government in India is famous for doing politics of violence, and Pakistan Connect is and will continuously show the reality of the Modi government in India.
During the May 2025 war between India and Pakistan, Pakistan Connect was the single digital platform that showed the truth and exposed Indian propaganda.
Pakistan Connect will continue showing the violent face of the Modi government and how Indian PM Narendra Modi is playing with the democracy of India.
