Indian media in meltdown over Pakistan’s diplomatic win

Indian media meltdown

The ceasefire between the United States and Iran, along with Pakistan’s decisive role and the arrival of US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad, has plunged India and its so-called “Godi media” into a state of mourning.

In an attempt to cover up its embarrassment, the Indian media has resorted to baseless anti-Pakistan propaganda and fabricated questions.

During a live TV interview, former US diplomat Jeffrey Gunther strongly rebuked an Indian anchor and showed him the mirror.

It is worth mentioning that during a live show on an Indian news channel, when the anchor tried to raise a “foolish” question regarding the security of US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad, Jeffrey Gunther became angry and, said that “the U.S. Vice President is completely safe in Pakistan.”

He further stated that the Indian media is currently behaving in a childish manner, like schoolchildren, which is extremely regrettable.

“This issue is not about the India-Pakistan conflict, but about saving human lives, protecting livelihoods, and resolving the global crisis of expensive petroleum, which the Indian media is trying to sabotage.”

Jeffrey Gunther termed the behaviour of the Indian media as “shameful” and even went so far as to say, “As a punishment, I would like to lock representatives of the Indian media in a room for 30 minutes so that they realise their mistake.”

He advised that instead of engaging in useless debates, the Indian media should appreciate this global peace effort.

Experts say that the negotiations held on April 11, 2026, have proved to be a major diplomatic setback for the Modi government, as despite anti-Pakistan propaganda, India has become isolated at the global level, while the international community has expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s mediation.

The Indian media, particularly the so-called “Godi media,” often tries to portray Pakistan’s positive role negatively on global forums.

However, Pakistan’s key position in the recent U.S.-Iran conflict has badly failed the Indian narrative.

The statement by a seasoned diplomat like Jeffrey Gunther is evidence that the international community is no longer taking the Indian media’s “Pakistan phobia” seriously; instead, it is being seen as an obstacle to peace.

This is not the first time that U.S. officials have expressed confidence in Pakistan’s security and diplomatic capabilities, but such humiliation of the Indian media during a live show is an extraordinary incident.
