ISLAMABAD: India and Afghanistan are running a well-coordinated and calculated information warfare and propaganda campaign against Iran. On various social media platforms fabricated narratives and toxic Indian propaganda are being spread against Iran. Behind this spread are the social media cells of two intelligence agencies. Afghanistan’s GDI and the Indian RAW.
On all social media, and especially on X formally twitter a flood of misinformation is being uploaded from Afghanistan and Indian handles. Iran is currently dealing with an internal matter of protests.
The core objective of Afghan-Indian propaganda campaign is to turn these protests into a full-fledged international crisis. They want to damage the credibility of Iranian state at the global level.
The conduct of India towards Iran has given the old proverb “Baghal mai churri, muu mai ram ram” a new life. New Delhi’s hypocrisy can be seen in its speaking of friendship and economic cooperation with Tehran.
They collaborate with Iran on projects like Chabahar. However, at the same time the RAW operatives spread venomous propaganda against Iran. They actively try to push it towards internal stability.
Another example of this was during the Iran-Israel war in 2025. Evidence reportedly emerged which suggested that India provided indirect assistance to Israel. They provided assistance through intelligence and technology channels.
It was also found that India also planted software bugs (vulnerabilities) in Iranian infrastructure. All these examples demonstrate that India is a hypocritical nation. Any friendship with them is a façade. They will always stab their friends in the back any moment they get. India is an enemy in disguise, an unreliable partner not an enemy in disguise.
The most alarming development is that Indian technical experts working at the Chabahar Port are introducing software vulnerabilities in the Iranian Infrastructure. This is resulting in sensitive Iranian data being accessed by external powers. For Iran’s national security this cyber threat has become a serious threat.
The countries in the region and Iran have to realize that India should not be viewed as a friend. India should be viewed as a snake in the sleeve.
