Indonesian Navy chief meets Field Marshal Asim Munir

Indonesian Navy Chief Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. He met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during the visit.
The two sides discussed defence ties between Pakistan and Indonesia. They also talked about regional security and other matters of mutual interest.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the existing military relations between the two countries. They agreed to further improve defence cooperation.
The two countries also agreed to increase cooperation in professional training, defence matters and joint military exercises.

Pakistan and Indonesia agree to strengthen military ties

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said Pakistan wants to further strengthen its long-standing and friendly relations with Indonesia.
He also expressed Pakistan’s wish to increase cooperation with Indonesia in defence and security.
Both sides said that strong military ties between Pakistan and Indonesia are important for peace, stability and cooperation in the region.
