Indore set for series decider as India, New Zealand clash in 3rd ODI

India vs New Zealand 3rd ODI

The third and final One-Day International of the three-match series between India and New Zealand will be played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Sunday.

Currently, the series is locked at 1-1; the match promises a high-stakes finish between the two competitive sides.

India drew first blood in the opening ODI, securing a four-wicket victory to take an early lead. However, New Zealand bounced back strongly in the second match, delivering an impressive all-round performance to defeat the hosts by seven wickets and level the series.

The ongoing ODI series is part of New Zealand’s tour of India, which also includes five T20 International matches. With both teams having showcased their strengths over the first two games, the decider in Indore is expected to be a closely fought contest as they vie for series supremacy.

The Indian team will be led by Shubman Gill, while New Zealand will be captained by Mitchell Santner. The third and final match of the ODI series will be played on January 18 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

Following the conclusion of the ODI series, New Zealand will travel to Nagpur for the first match of the five-match T20 International series on January 21. The second T20I will be played in Raipur on January 23, followed by the third match in Guwahati on January 25. The fourth T20I is scheduled for Visakhapatnam on January 28, while the fifth and final match of the series will take place in Thiruvananthapuram on January 31.

On the other hand, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised the match timings for the national team’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Australia, which is set to begin on January 29.

The decision was taken due to extreme weather conditions. As a result, all three T20Is will now start at 4:00 pm local time, with the toss scheduled for 3:30 pm. Previously, the matches were due to begin at 6:00 pm, with the toss at 5:30 pm.
