Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Thursday visited the residence of senior veteran broadcaster Ishrat Fatima, a renowned and respected face of Pakistan Television (PTV).
During the visit, the minister praised Ishrat Fatima’s longstanding contributions to national broadcasting and acknowledged her role in shaping professional journalism in the country.
He invited her to serve as a mentor at Pakistan Television to train broadcasters and guide them in effective news presentation.
The minister said that Ishrat Fatima’s association with PTV would prove to be a major boost for the younger generation, enabling them to benefit from her vast experience and professional insight.
Ishrat Fatima expressed her appreciation for the visit and emphasised the importance of nurturing emerging talent to uphold the standards of responsible and credible journalism.
It is worth mentioning that Ishrat Fatima has announced the end of her 45-year-long association with Radio Pakistan, marking the close of a distinguished chapter in Pakistan’s broadcast journalism.
