Interior Ministry rejects reports of targeted deportation of Pakistanis

The Ministry of Interior has taken notice of speculative reports circulating in sections of the media, particularly on social media, regarding the alleged targeted deportation of Pakistani nationals from the brotherly Islamic country, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

After reviewing the relevant details and official data, the ministry clarified that such reports are baseless, misleading and part of a malicious propaganda campaign driven by vested interests. Authorities emphasised that no country-specific or sect-based deportations are being carried out by any country, including the UAE.

The Ministry of Interior stated that any deportations taking place are part of a routine process carried out in accordance with the host country’s laws, immigration regulations and legal framework, including cases involving visa violations or overstaying on invalid documentation.

The ministry further emphasised that Pakistani nationals who meet visa and employment requirements continue to travel to and obtain work visas for the UAE and other friendly countries without any discrimination or restrictions.

Rejecting claims circulating on social media, authorities termed the reports “fake, malicious, and fabricated,” alleging that such misinformation is being spread to serve ulterior motives.

The government also clarified that any issue involving Pakistani nationals abroad is addressed on a case-by-case basis through established diplomatic and Foreign Office channels. The statement was issued by the Government of Pakistan through PTV News, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
