The agreement covers sectors such as power generation, renewable energy, hydropower, transmission lines, transport, and large-scale infrastructure.

‘Employment opportunities from China to empower Pakistani youth’

Previously, in May 2025, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, said that Chinese businesses are creating important job opportunities for Pakistani youth.

Speaking at a job fair in Islamabad, she said the event shows that Pakistan is moving from potential to progress.

Many Chinese companies attended the fair to hire skilled Pakistani professionals and graduates.

Qamar highlighted that Pakistan has 140 million people under 30, who are not just job seekers but are important for the country’s growth and innovation.

The job fair was hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in Pakistan (CCCP) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).

Twenty major Chinese companies offered jobs in engineering, finance, management, skilled labour, and administration.

The goal of the event was to help Pakistani youth gain skills that match international industry standards.

Qamar also thanked China for its support. She said the friendship has helped Pakistan through challenges and achievements.
