Internet Suspension Proposal Under Consideration as Security Tightened in Islamabad

Web desk: Authorities are once again considering suspending internet services in Islamabad due to the tense security situation in the federal capital.

According to sources, the Islamabad Police have proposed the suspension to prevent potential unrest linked to a possible TLP protest.

Security officials said plainclothes personnel have been deployed at all main entry and exit routes of the city to monitor movements and detect any protest activity.

Police vans have also been stationed along these routes as part of heightened security measures.

Sources added that the records of guest houses and rest houses across various sectors of Islamabad will be checked.

Workers and officials of TLP are also being closely monitored, according to the reports, in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Security on High Alert in Twin Cities

Security has been put on high alert in Rawalpindi and nearby areas. A flag march, led by CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani, was carried out in several parts of the city, including Murree Road.

The march included police, elite forces, traffic police, and baton-carrying personnel.

Islamabad Police on Full Alert

An Islamabad Police spokesperson said a heavy contingent has been deployed in high-security zones.

SSP Security Captain (retd) Zeeshan Haider confirmed that the police are fully alert and ready to deal with any situation.

He said no one will be allowed to disturb law and order.

Security has been tightened at sensitive locations, and police patrols have been increased across the city.

According to SSP Haider, the security situation is being closely monitored using modern technology and Safe City cameras.

Additional steps are being taken to maintain peace and ensure public safety in the capital.

At the same time, false reports have been spreading across social media that a three-day local holiday in Islamabad and school closures will occur between October 14 and 16.

Authorities have made it clear that these messages are fabricated and that the authorities did not give such orders.
