An internship opportunity in France has opened for students, allowing them to stay in Paris while their living expenses are supported through a good monthly stipend.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has opened this internship to students worldwide who are currently enrolled in a degree programme. The internships are available across a wide range of fields, including agriculture, taxation, and many others.
The internship lasts between one and six months. Selected interns can choose to work in Paris, follow a hybrid format, or work fully remotely.
OECD is an international group of 38 countries. They work together to grow trade and improve living standards around the world.
How much stipend can interns get per month?
Interns based in Paris receive €1,000 (PKR 3.2 lakh) per full month to help cover living expenses. They can also take 2–3 days off during the internship.
It is pertinent to mention that the organisation does not provide airfare or medical insurance. However, the decent monthly stipend can help you live comfortably in Paris.
Eligibility
- Internships are primarily offered to nationals of OECD member countries, but nationals of non-OECD countries may also apply for specific programmes and projects.
- Have an excellent command of English or French.
- Have good quantitative and IT skills.
- Be enrolled in a full-time degree programme during the internship. Students pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD can apply.
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated by academic success and professional achievements.
The selection process is a bit lengthy, involving a test, pre-screening, and then an interview. You can submit your application here by December 31, 2026, but since the organisation stresses that applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis, it is advised to apply early, especially for students who want to work abroad and build strong professional relationships.
