ISLAMABAD: Iqrar ul Hassan, Pakistan’s renowned journalist and TV host who often stays in news headlines, has revealed his real assets and monthly income.
Iqrar is famous for his investigative journalism in ARY News show Sar e.Aam. The anchor also remains in the spotlight after he got married for the third time.
However, recently, the journalist has raised eyebrows with his statements on his assets during several appearances.
Iqrar ul Hassan said earlier that “I haven’t bought my own house and have been on rent ever since I started my career because building an own house is always like a dream for someone like us who has come from a middle-class background and struggled a lot. There were many issues due to which the construction of my house was stalled, mainly because of the price hikes in recent years but hopefully we are shifting soon along with Qurat, Pehlaj and Aroosa and Farah will also reside nearby the same area”
But the anchor took a U-turn in his recent interview, saying that, “Allah has financially given me everything which anyone can dream of, and all through the right means. I have one house which is under construction, just the finishing is left. I have a 2-kanal house in Lahore, DHA Phase 8, which is almost complete. In Karachi, we were living on rent. I didn’t mention this earlier, but I also have a one kanal plot, which is for investment purposes. We have one car on rent. People often criticize me on the heavy rent of that car but I was doing my house’s construction so I spent my money there. My wives are so nice by nature, Alhamdulillah. All three never get into material debates, and they never ask for material things. It’s not our way of life. They have no sense of competition, and things have naturally stayed that way.”
Has Farah Yousaf parted ways with anchor Iqrar-ul-Hassan?
Earlier, Farah Yousaf spoke about reports of her separation from her husband, Iqrar-ul-Hassan.
Social media had been buzzing with claims that the couple had parted ways. Farah clarified the situation.
A fan on social media asked her if she had separated from Iqrar because her accounts now showed the name “Farah Yousaf.”
Responding to the question, Farah said that many people know her by her father’s name, and she is proud of it.
“The name Yousaf represents my father’s identity, and there’s no bond more precious than that. Sometimes, I think of changing my bio back from Farah Iqrar to Farah Yousaf,” she added.
She explained that some of her older social media accounts still show her previous name because they are verified, and changing names there is not possible.
Rejecting all rumours, Farah said there has been no separation between her and Iqrar-ul-Hassan.
“People make up stories on their own. Both names are special to me, and I own them equally,” she said. Farah also urged her followers not to believe unverified news.
It is worth mentioning that Farah Yousaf started her journalism career in 2007 with a private TV channel and now runs her own YouTube channel. She is Iqrar-ul-Hassan’s second wife, while he has been married three times
