Pakistani journalist and digital creator Farah Yousuf has opened up about rumours regarding her relationship and divorce with husband Iqrar-ul-Hassan, which have gone viral on social media.
Farah Yousuf is the second wife of renowned anchor and politician Iqrar-ul-Hassan, while Iqrar-ul-Hassan was first married to Qurat-ul-Ain, with whom he also has a son, while his third marriage was to Arousa Khan.
Speaking on Rehan Tariq’s podcast, Farah Yousuf spoke about her relationship with Iqrar-ul-Hassan. She said that initially we were not very close because he was my senior, so there was a certain amount of hesitation and fear along with respect, but gradually we became good friends.
She said that she is a shy person by nature and does not share much with anyone, not even with Iqrar.
“It is my habit that I do not share everything with everyone”, she said.
Farah Yousaf further said that now we have become closer than ever and are very comfortable with each other,
“I tease Iqrar, cook for him, we watch movies together and to refresh our old memories, we also go on long drives”.
She said that we have a beautiful relationship and friendship is very important in every relationship. In a relationship between husband and wife, first there should be respect, then friendship and then love.
Talking about the rumours of divorce, she said that whenever she searches YouTube on TV, such rumours appear. She added that there are countless vlogs about their separation, some with headlines so inappropriate that she does not even want to repeat them.
Farah Yousuf said people claim that Iqrarul Hasan has left her. She added that if creators want views, they should use better words. She said this issue is not limited to them and has happened to many others.
She further said that she also read news about Muneeb Butt, where after his bridal photo shoot he was accused of a second marriage. She added that similarly, false news about the deaths of senior personalities is also circulated.
Farah Yousuf started her career as a journalist in 2007 as a news anchor on a private TV channel, where she has also been associated with other private TV channels including PTV Home. Today, she runs her own YouTube channel where she is seen doing vlogs and podcasts on various topics.
