Iran has released a special song to honour CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during his official visit to Tehran.
The song, described as a powerful gesture of welcome and appreciation, is a rare cultural tribute to a foreign leader on Iranian soil.
Titled “Khush Aamdeed ae Sipah Salar Mohtaram, Khush Aamadi be Tehran,” the track is performed by Iranian singer Reza Bahrami.
Iranian media reported this is the first gesture of its kind, showing the importance of the visit and the growing ties between the two countries.
A high-level Pakistani delegation, including Field Marshal Asim Munir, arrived in Tehran yesterday. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit is part of broader diplomatic efforts, including mediation between Iran and the United States.
The visit is linked to efforts to reduce tensions in the region. Pakistan is presenting itself as a key mediator. The aim is to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the US and ensure regional stability.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said messages are being exchanged with the United States through Pakistan. He added that, as part of ongoing engagements, Iran will host a Pakistani delegation today.
It is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif is currently in Saudi Arabia and will travel to Turkey and Qatar.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif went to Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.
Islamabad Peace Talks 2026
On April 11 and 12, Pakistan held the Islamabad Talks 2026, where Iran and the US engaged in a 21-hour-long talk.
The talks took place in Islamabad after Pakistan brokered a two-week-long ceasefire after a 40-day war between the countries.
However, after the talks concluded, JD Vance revealed the update in a short media briefing.
He added Iran chose “not to accept our terms” at the talks, adding that the US needs to see a “fundamental commitment” from Tehran not to develop nuclear weapons.
There are speculations about a round two of talks too, however, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
PM, Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded
Pakistan yet again showcased its role as an important player on the global front after brokering the ceasefire.
The ceasefire is not only being described as a great step towards peace, but also as a huge diplomatic feat for the country.
In this achievement, the PM of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, along with the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, have played major roles.
