Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has ruled out talks with the United States and made it clear that Iran is ready to continue missile attacks and that negotiations with the US are not on the agenda under the current circumstances.
In an interview with an American broadcaster, he reiterated that Iran has the right to take measures to defend itself and is exercising this right by targeting US military bases in the region.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has also taken a tough stance, saying that Iran will decide when to end the war. It added that if US or Israeli attacks continue, not a single litre of oil will be allowed to leave the region.
There have also been reports of gunfire at the US Consulate in Canada, after which security has been tightened.
The Revolutionary Guards further stated that countries that expel Israeli and US ambassadors could be offered the use of the Strait of Hormuz to help secure regional trade routes.
According to experts, this policy by Iran could increase tensions in the Middle East and may risk disrupting global energy supplies.
Iran maintains that it is ready to respond to any aggression and will take all necessary measures to defend itself. Meanwhile, the international community has expressed concern over the current situation in the region and has called on both sides to reduce tensions.
