Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, to discuss recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic initiatives.
During the conversation, the two leaders welcomed the progress in the United States–Iran negotiations, noting that the talks have reached their final stage, with a signing ceremony expected tomorrow.
They expressed hope that the development would help promote lasting peace, stability and constructive engagement across the region.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan commended Pakistan’s consistent and sustained efforts in support of mediation and dialogue throughout the negotiation process. He acknowledged Islamabad’s role in encouraging diplomatic engagement and fostering a peaceful resolution to regional issues.
The foreign ministers also exchanged views on the upcoming Regional Four Foreign Ministers (R-4) meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Egypt later this month. The meeting is expected to focus on regional cooperation, security, and diplomatic coordination among participating countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued consultation and cooperation on matters of mutual interest and regional significance.
