Islamabad flower markets bloom with freshness

ISLAMABAD: The flower markets of Islamabad are flourishing and providing residents with various varieties of flowers for all special occasions.

Islamabad, a big, beautiful and well planned city, but for many years it did not have a proper flower market like Lahore and Peshawar.

During the 1960s and 1970s, small flower stalls could be found in various parts of the city.  Later, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chose to open some flower shops in a few Islamabad markets after observing the rising demand for flowers. 

Over time, the buying and selling of flowers developed a common and flourish industry in the city.  One of the oldest flower market in Islamabad is the one located in Aabpara G-6.

It is constantly busy throughout the day and provides flowers to numerous locations throughout the capital.

Punjab, particularly Patoki, Sahiwal, and Arifwala, supply the majority of the flowers that has been selling in Islamabad. 

Fresh flowers are transported to Islamabad every night by trucks from these cities. 

The flowers arrive at the markets by morning, making it simple and easy for locals to purchase fresh flowers. 

Flower markets are effortlessly accessible to locals in a number of Islamabad neighborhoods, including F-7 and F-8.
