Registration with the district administration is now mandatory for setting up Razman Dastarkhwans in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. So far, a total of 18 applications have been received from across the city.
During the upcoming Holy month of Razman, Dastarkhwans would be set up on various highways and parks.
This year, the district administration has made registration compulsory for anyone wishing to set up these Dastarkhwans. According to the spokesperson, applicants must submit complete details along with their application.
The district administration will ensure proper identification of the location and provision of other facilities, including security. Those interested in setting up a table must provide their identity and location details.
The spokesperson further stated that the Assistant Commissioners will inspect each site before issuing a permit. No public table will be allowed to operate without prior registration.
Punjab govt approves Razman Nigahban package
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the Razman Nigahban package. Under this initiative, the Punjab government will provide Nigahban cards to needy people during Razman.
An important meeting was held last week under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to discuss preparations for Razman and public relief measures. During the meeting, the Chief Minister approved initiatives including CM ration cards, Nigahban Dastarkhwan, Sahulat Bazaars, and other administrative measures to assist those in need.
With this program, people will not have to search for help. In addition to receiving cash, beneficiaries will also be able to purchase essential items using the Razman Nigahban card. The district administration will conduct door-to-door visits in the relevant areas to distribute the cards.
